Getting a good one
Three lines that make a better design
Name the subject and the colours
“a peacock feather in deep teal and brass” gives the model far more to work with than “something nice”.
Say how it should be drawn
An engraving, a linocut, bold flat shapes, a fine dot screen — one of those words changes everything.
Skip logos and real people
Brand marks, trademarked characters and photographs of people are turned down before anything is made.
